End of August Haul & Life

August is almost ending which makes me sad because it feels like just yesterday that the month had started.  I'm dreading going back to school.  I hate it more than anything...  Sigh.  But at least I bought a couple of things lately that kept me happy (for a while, haha).


Here's some of the things I've bought over the last couple of days.  Yes, these are all beauty related, of course.  I've tried a few of these products already and I'll do quick reviews for some of them.


Here's a little peak at the nail polish.  I bought it just yesterday and did my nails an hour ago.  I'll definitely do a review sometime soon.  However, today I learned the key to having perfect nails that dries!  Make sure your base coat is completely dry before applying your colour, and always use thin coats.  Sealing with a quick drying top coat helps, but I found that each layer dried as soon as I was done with the other hand!  I always hated doing my nails because I'm never patient enough to wait for it to dry but today I have no problem with that :)  Happy camper.

I went to TheFaceShop because I've been wanting to buy their eyebrow shadow for a while and finally caved in.  I also saw that their eyebrow pencil wasn't too expensive so I picked that one as well.  I love using them together and now I feel like my eyebrows are so on point.  Little things like that makes me happy, hehe.


I also went to Ikea with my family on the weekend and got this night light thing that I wanted for years now!  I know it's kind of useless but I just can't help it.  It's super adorable and it glows different colours of lights.  How perfect is that?  Com'on guys.  It's the little things in life.

So I assume this is when I do the food pics spam?


The lovely boyfriend took me out for fish tacos and wings because I was craving them so much.  And I got a mojito which made me so happy ^^


And we also tried out this new Japanese place and it's really really good!  I want my birthday dinner to be at this place.  It's called Tsuki Izakaya. We ordered two dishes, the Aburi Mentaiko and either the Tsuki Don or Chirashi Don...  I don't remember which one it was but they're both very similar.  Anyway, it was super duper yummy!  The first bite into everything took me by surprise because I've never tasted anything quite like it, even though I constantly eat lots of Japanese and Korean dishes.  I also ordered something called Orange Sawa which the waitress explained that it's soda with a shot of vodka and freshly squeezed orange juice, which you get to squeeze yourself.  I haven't tried anything like it before.  It's quite nice, if you don't like anything too strong since it is only a shot mixed with soda.  Personally, I like something more strong hehe ^^  But it was still good and a fun experience.


My Ikea food, of course.  (I made a mess...)  Swapped the fries for mash because yummmm, mashhhh~



Bubble tea and soju with the air sign girls.  We had a fantastic night, which we all desperately needed.  We talked a lot and caught up with each others lives; admittedly some more exciting than others (like my boring life).  I hope we go drinking again sometime this week because it was a great night.

That's it :)  I'm probably going to save some reviews for when school starts so I'll have something to post from time to time, haha.  I can already see myself being super busy with no social life other than school...  Sighhhhhhhh~
