Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Primer review
Monday, 6 May 2013 | 0 comments
Here's the follow-up review for the two primers I got in my Korean Haul.  Today I'm gonna be reviewing Etude House's Goodbye Pore Ever Primer! At the end, I'm going to be comparing the two primers and tell you which one I like the best and why.  If you didn't read the other review, it's right here.

To start off, it's in a tube that contains 20ml of product, which is 5ml less than the Tony Moly primer.  The name of this primer is really cute, I find :)  Isn't it punny? "Pore ever" ehehehehehe!  And I think this packaging is so cute with the colours and dot pattern.  I'm all for this kind of stuff haha.

As for the product itself, a mix between a gel and cream-like texture and comes out as an off-white colour.  When blended, it's invisible on the skin and I find this one to be more smooth than the Tony Moly one.  It creates a thicker layer of primer on top of your skin, making it even more effective.  However, it does not feel heavy or thick on your skin!  There's a slight scent to it, kind of like a faint baby powder scent, but it doesn't irritate the skin either.

To be consistent, I used the same BB cream to test as my previous review; Skin79 Vital orange BB cream.  I find that with this primer, all the pores are completely gone!  If you compare with the other review, the side with the primer still had a bit of pores, but barely visible.  This one seems to disappear completely!  When I was blending the BB cream, it went on super smooth with no problems at all.

To compare the two primers: Tonymoly Cats Wink Smooth Primer vs. Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Primer.

Amount: Tony Moly has more by 5ml.

Price: I don't know about the price because my aunt bought me these items but I searched on ebay; Tony Moly seems to be around $9 CAN while Etude House is around $10-12.

Texture: Etude House just glides on better in my opinion.

Effectiveness: Etude House.  I have extremely dry skin around my mouth and I've tried to use both on this area to make my BB cream sit better.  The Tony Moly one doesn't seem to help, but the Etude House makes it look like it's not even dry at all!  It's magic.

Conclusion:  I really like the Etude House primer better.  It does an excellent job, while the Tony Moly one just does an okay job.

Rating: ★★★★★ 5/5

I would repurchase this primer when I run out.  The only downside is that it's really hard to get a hold of here in Canada if you can't buy things online (a.k.a. me.)  If you want a good primer for your face, you should look into this one :)
