Hello, Aquarius season
It's been such a while since I last did a life update post. I think the last one was back in December of last year. I've just been keeping busy, so let's get into it!
Bath and Body Works had their semi annual sale right at the beginning of the year and I took advantage of that! I picked up two body washes and a pair of their fox slippers. I'm not really a big slipper wearer but I've had these on my feet since I've gotten them and they keep my feet so warm! Did I mention they're super soft too?
This year's Sephora birthday gift is two mini NARS lip pencils. I must admit, I loveeeeee the colours they chose, especially the pink nude; I've been looking all over for a colour like this! The down side is that it doesn't look like these are sharpenable so whatever product you see is all you get. But hey, it's free so you can't complain.
Here's something silly that I purchased. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite characters and I was super thrilled to have finally found these books! I know there are plenty of versions but I was specifically looking for this version. The illustrations are just so cute! It's weird, I haven't actually read through the entire story so I'm going to bring these along with me on the bus to keep me busy.
I recently saw Mike again and he put in a new toner! We added a little purple in and it came out really nice. It was supposed to fade out in about two weeks but it's actually still lingering on! I'm not sure how I feel about that exactly because I do really like my blonde, I hope it comes back.
My birthday was in January and my friend gifted me MAC's Cyber! I've been eye this baby for the longest time and constantly finding dupes but nothing tops the real deal. Cyber is definitely not everyone's colour, but it's just so fun to wear! It makes me feel vampy and bad ass. If you're looking to step out of your comfort zone, give it a shot.
I also gave myself a little birthday shopping spree and purchased a buttload of stuff at one go. As you can see, mango is one of my favourite fruits and scents. My favourites of out of bunch are definitely The Body Shop sugar body scrub, body butter, and Lush's The Kiss lipscrub.
To celebrate, my girls and I headed to karaoke at my favourite spot and sang our hearts out. It's really refreshing to hang out with your friends and have a silly night out once in a while since it's almost rare for us to get together like this now.
I got new boots! After my last pair pretty much broke down on me after a good year of wear and tear, I managed to hunt down this hair from JustFab. Spoiler alert: I am NOT fond of the fact you pretty much get charged $40 each month if you don't skip within the first 5 days. I snagged this pair for $18 after tax and shipping and canceled my membership.
The smallest size was 5.5 which wasn't too big of an issue for me; I'm usually a size 5. After tightening the laces, they fit my narrow feet perfectly. The heel is thick and not too high making it super comfortable to walk it. I can barely tell there's a heel but they give a nice height boost. The material is pretty cheap, so I'm glad I didn't have to pay a full $40 for these but for around $18, they're pretty worth it. I'm excited for the snow to melt away so I can bust these babies out.
This week, I made two purchases that I'm so excited about. These two have been raved about on Youtube and for good reason! I'll definitely be doing a review soon.
Anyway, Valentines day is coming soon. I'm really excited to be spending it with my boyfriend although we don't have anything special planned yet. Also, Jin is back in Toronto and we're going to hang out next Tuesdays! I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE HER YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!! I think it's been a good 4-5 years since I last saw her and I'm just dying to hang out with her again.
And of course, here's a bunch of other nonsense.
Happy Aquarius season, by the way! How's your 2015 going so far? Let me know!

I swear I'm not dead
Hi all,
So I've very well aware that the last time I posted was at the beginning of the month. It is now the middle of the month. Seriously, I don't know how the days pass so quickly. Anyway, I've been just dealing with personal stuff. They're nothing serious or big, but I just needed to take a breather. I'm still really active on social media so you'll always catch me up on there; less Twitter than Instagram but I try to make an effort to tweet more. Funny how I use to tweet a lot, and now I hardly do it once a day.
I've been doing Spellbound's chalkboard sign. Chalk is really tricky to do typography with because it's hard to make super thin lines, but I do what I can. I'm pretty happy with the way they've turned out for something that was hand done.
If anyone is in the Toronto downtown area and wants to get their hair professionally done, go to Spellbound and ask for Mike! They're right across from the Eaton Center and he does an amazing job on hair for both guys and girls.
In fact, he touched up my roots and gave me a darker toner this time. It'll eventually wash out to be a nice ashy blonde :) My hair is always sooooo great after I see him, and even though it's bleached, it doesn't feel damaged AT ALL! I didn't think that was possible! Everyone who has felt my hair said that it's still so healthy. If you're like me and have super fine hair that stylists refuse to bleach to a blonde, go to Mike. He'll take really good care of your hair. 100% would recommend.
Not only that, but he managed to curl my hair and keep it stayed curled all day, and the next day! My hair NEVER does that! I have the type of fine hair that stays stick straight no matter what you do to it. I was so surprised, no one has ever been able to curl my hair.
I've been trying to practice my hand typography, so I asked Mike to give me a quote. He apparently chose this one. If you know where it's from, leave me a comment hehe :) I really need to work on keeping my hands steady, though. Overall, I think it was a pretty good attempt for practice.
I went downtown one day to help with a photoshoot. We went down by the harbour and I got to see a part of Toronto that I've surprisingly never explored before. I even found a giant geese installation and Yo Yo Ma Lane!
We took Katsu with us and I got to take care of him for the weekend. He's a little rascal and he knows he's cute. If anyone is wondering, he's a Japanese Spitz. He's one of three known Japanese Spitz in Toronto, so he's a rare little thing! Everyone always gives him compliments when they see him.
We later went to Joy Bistro for bunch.
I ordered the Leslieville Eggs Benedict. It was good, but had too heavy of a butter/diary taste for someone who hates dairy. For you regular people, you'll love it! I just really don't like dairy products, so even the smallest hint of butter puts me off.
I spent my weekend over at my cousin's place. We started off with brunch "at Ryu Kushi".
My favourite is definitely the Chinese sausage and gizzards. We then headed off to Niagara Falls for wine tasting! Needless to say, I tried many, many different wines that day. In the end, we came home with a bunch of bottles of wine.
I finally got a pair of Converse! They're such a classic shoe that I've always wanted but never got until now. My brother was buying new shoes and it was buy 1 get the other 50% off, so I was able to get these for about $30. I was debating between these and a batman printed one, but I chose this one for practicality. Although I totally would rock the batman logo patterned one. It just wouldn't match a lot of my clothing.
Corey took me out for Mexican food last night. It was really good and we drank. He showed me what a Swedish Berry shot was. It's delicious!
I was going to do a little belly button piercing update here but I think I'm just going to make a separate post for it right after this.
Also, I got my hands on the Skin79 purple and green BB cream so I'll be reviewing one of them (the other is for my friend and I don't want to open it). I'll also be doing a post on my new circle lenses that I ordered from Pinky Paradise, as well as a mini review on their site and their service.
Anyway, that's all for now :) Enjoy the rest of the week!

Doctor Martens, Garage, Misc. Haul
I went to the mall and did some damage. Opps. So every year I'm given money to buy new shoes and this year, Dad and I have been talking about getting me some Dr.Martens. He has a pair and I've been mentioning to him that I've wanted them too. We hit up the mall and bought them right after I tried them on. They're still pretty stiff and I need to break them in but that's okay. I'm usually a size 5-5.5 but the smallest size they carried was a 6. Surprisingly, these fit well and I have a feeling a size down wouldn't have even fit. Do Docs usually run smaller than most shoes? Anyway, I'm trying to break them in with thick socks now but I'm sure it'll take a long while to accomplish.
I'm a proud owner of my own Docs now :) They're quite fun to wear and they do give me a little extra boost of height which is always good in my books. I've even gotten compliments on them already!
I had some money left over to I went and bought a few clothing items from Garage, which if you couldn't tell already, is one of my favourite clothing stores. But first, I picked up a new eyebrow pencil because I ran out of my last one. I wanted to get the same one again but they were sold out and I needed a new one ASAP. I settled for the pencil one
(the other is retractable with a brush on the end). Although I got them in the same brown-grey colour, this one seems to be more brown than my old one. I don't mind it as much because of my blonde hair now, but it's annoying that the colours don't match like they should.
So I went to Garage and picked up a new phone case first. I saw it on their online store first and I knew I had to get it because DUH, IT HAS A LION ON IT! I'm liking it a lot, but the only annoying thing about it is that it creates a gap between my charger and the phone so now it easily disconnects if I plug it to charge but accidentally move the cord. The simple solution is to just take it out of the case when you're charging it but that's still annoying.

So Garage was having a buy 1 get 1 half off on all denim shorts, so I picked up two. I already own a pair of Garage shorts and they easily became my favourite pair of shorts because of how they fit. The main reason I love Garage is because their sizes run small so stuff actually fit me! Pants and shorts are one of my most difficult items to find that fit because my waist and hips are just non-existent. I wear a size 00 in Garage pants/shorts and they fit so well. I picked up a high-waisted black pair and a low-raised "flirty" pair. Both pairs will be thoroughly loved and worn lots during summer this year.

I also picked up two graphic tops because they were having a buy 1 get 1 free sale. There were a couple that I was looking at for a while and thought I should just pick them up since I wanted them so bad. I wish they had the sale on the crop top versions of these but I couldn't find them in the store so I settled for the regular version. Oh well, tops can always be tied into a crop top.
(I like this one because of the cut out in the back. It looks really nice with a bandeau and it'll be especially great for the hot humid days when you just need as little clothing on you as possible).
I also went to the drugstore and picked up a new lipstick and mascara. I wanted to try something new other than my usual Falsies mascara, so I picked this one up. Quick review, it has some weird strong perfume smell to it that I really don't like, and It doesn't really give as much volume as it says it should. Would not recommend.
Lastly, I picked up these bad boys just yesterday. I saw the bracelets and I knew I had to get them because I can't pass up anything related to The Lion King. Plus it has that boho feel which I loveeeeeeee. The store was having a buy 1 get another half off the entire store so I searched the whole store for something else I wanted that wasn't more expensive than the bracelets. That was quite hard because I wanted to get one of their Disney shirts but they were too expensive. I found these ear cuffs and got those because they were cute and in the right price range. I'm happy I found these because they look great on my ears!
Anyway that's all I really want to haul haha. I'm super happy about all my purchases and I can't wait until the weather gets hot so I can wear them all.
