Virgo season already?!
Hey cuties,
I can't believe it's Virgo season already. I seems like I've been so preoccupied with the natural rhythm of life that I always forget that I even have a blog. It was only a couple of days ago that I realized that we've entered Virgo season. I only really care because my boyfriend is a Virgo ;)
So I've done a little shopping this month. I went to Garage and found these items on sale! I only got the crop top and the dress on the right because the middle one didn't fit too well. I also picked up new panties that I won't be showing, hehe.
I went back to see Mike to get my roots done once he got back from his Japan trip. He gifted me with a bunch of Muji pens that I love and adore! They're so fun to use and so cheap over there apparently. This time, we went with a silver toner but it didn't turn out as silver as I'd like only because it's impossible for us to bleach my hair completely white unless we burn my scalp off. In the end, I was left with almost a grey-toned brown which was extremely hard to capture through photos but looked quite amazing in real life.
I picked up a new agenda because sadly, my Andy Warhol one is overdue. I admit, I got extremely lazy with using it during the last 3-4 months but I still adored carrying it around and I just can't bring myself to part with it because it's Andy Warhol themed. I found
this fox one at Chapters and decided to get it because all the pages inside were cute. It's quite hard to find a nicely designed one from the inside out. Most of the ones I've seen had a nice cover but very plain and boring interior pages.
I also picked up two books that were on sale for only $2 each. This is one of the two that I really want to start reading just as soon as I finish Looking For Alaska.
So my boyfriend had a four day weekend so I went and stayed over at his place :) We watched a couple of movies in bed and had sushi brunch, yummm! He doesn't live in Toronto so it's quite far to travel to his town but I like being so far away from home while I'm with him.
Tada, here he is! His name is Zack and he's a Virgo :) Super cute, isn't he? He does Muay Thai so I know he can kick anyone's butt if they're bothering me, hahaha. Him and I are really into comics, that's our thing, I think.
(Check out his cute Super Man shirt). When people ask how we met, we just tell them that he saved me from a bear. That's the version we're going with and that's all you'll get hehe! We're still in our early stages of dating but I adore him a lot and I'm going to be mentioning him a lot more in the future.
Anyway, that's pretty much all for now. I start school in a week and I'm going camping this weekend so I'll be gone again! Hopefully I'll have more pictures and stories to tell when I come back. Although I dislike all the work I'm bombarded with during school months, I'm excited to see everyone and get back into the rhythm of things. Here's the rest of the month through food and selfies.

So here's the sitch.
Summer is half way over and it's sad that I'm still actually "in school". Is school just being ridiculous because my summer doesn't "officially" start until the end of this month, after my exam. Anyway, that's pretty much what I've been up to lately. Kidding.
I probably disappeared because I went camping. Yeah, me. Camping. Look, I have pictures to prove it.
It was my first time and I think my favourite part would be eating by the campfire. There was a beach near our camp site so we ventured off and hung out there for a while. It was a really fun weekend full of booze! We're going back in the beginning of September right before school starts :)
Besides that, I recently finished reading The Fault In Our Stars because so many people seem to have hyped it up. It was an alright book. I ended up picking another one of John Green's books. This one I'm currently still reading, but so far it has gotten my attention.
Coke started releasing custom named bottles in stores this summer. This isn't a new thing to me as I've seen them in other countries before, but I was really excited to find them here. I found a bunch of my friend's names and sent them pictures of their bottle, but I just couldn't resist picking up my own.
One thing that I'm really proud of myself for doing is actually picking up a paintbrush and painting! Ever since high school ended, I never painted after that and it's a shame because I almost forgot how much I actually loved painting. I drew up this idea exactly a year ago and it was actually a mural idea that I was going to paint on my wall, but I decided a canvas was probably the better alternative. Anyway, I spent 7 hours or so painting it but it was totally fun and worth it. I absolutely love seeing my hand covered in paint, and I managed to go through a whole tube of white.
Tonight, I managed to cross off another painting I've been meaning to do for the longest time. Of course, I picked up more white paint and I spent the entire night doing this little bad boy. I need to hang this somewhere in my room.
I bought two lipsticks over the past two days. I shall definitely do reviews on them but let's just say that Maybelline has some kick ass lipstick formulas. Can you guess which swatch I ended up buying?
Anyway, so now you know where I've disappeared off too. I've really just been consumed with studying, painting, and spending time with family and a few friends. I'll try to post more often but who am I kidding? I can never promise that.

Life is Slowing Down
Do you ever have so much going on for what seems to be all at the same time, and then suddenly, a dry spell? Yeah, that's my life right now.
It seemed like during the last couple of weeks, I was out and about, constantly getting stuff done and now these days, I'm home alone, wasting away my days in bed. I mostly tell myself that I simply am catching up on missed TV shows and sleep. Anyway, I just need to do more exciting things so I have decent content to blog about haha. Plus I really need to stop waking up at 3pm when the day is already half over...
So what's up? What have I been doing?
I went downtown to visit Mike at the salon like I seem to do every Monday. I had taken out a book from the library the day before so I wanted to do some reading at the salon while keeping him company. He's usually the only one working in the salon on Mondays so I like to go down and chill. We walked over to his place after work because and stumbled upon a cool looking shop that sold modernly designed items. I wanted to buy this paper cutter bird thing that looked so cool but so unnecessary for me to have, so I didn't. Bought Mike bought a tie which was pretty cool. We got Krispy Kreme donuts on the way and he made tonkatsu for dinner. Both were quite delicious. Then we got Starbucks on the way to the subway before I went back home. Spending time with Mike makes me appreciate the Leos in my life because they're so brotherly to me. It's really nice to have that kind of company around.

I started to read Kevin Kwan's Crazy Rich Asians because I heard it was a good book. I've never been a big reader but I seem to have a list of books
(stories) that I really want to indulge in. I don't know what about me it is but I just cannot bring myself to continue reading this book. I'm currently 54 pages in and I haven't touched it ever since. I'm sure it's a good book, but I just suck at reading. Why do I even bother?
A couple of days later, I went over to Suki's to chill and ended up staying over. I bought purple Manic Panic to tone out my hair so she helped me with that. We did it twice before we were satisfied with the ashy-ness. We also had a very bro-like dinner and downed some drinks.
Over the weekend, I went to hang with my cousin. She invited me to dinner with her co-op's since it was their last day in the office. We went to Tsuki Izakaya and ordered tons of food
(more pictures on my Instagram). I met a bunch of people and had a lot of fun making new friends :) Everyone was really nice and down to earth. It was rather fun trying to guess each other's signs in my head haha.
I ended up staying with her overnight downtown which was really fun. I've always wanted to live downtown and that really solidified my "dream".
In the morning, we made a quick breakfast, got ready, then met up with her friend for lunch at Salad King. It was really fun and relaxing to be able to wake up in downtown Toronto and walk to almost any destination. We walked our way there and it was a huge workout for me, but I enjoyed it. After lunch, we shopped around the Eaton Center to bum and waste some time.
We met up with our other cousin and his wife for dinner at Hush. I really liked spending time with my family as I haven't seen them in quite some time. They're all so lucky to be living downtown where there is so much more things to do and see than up here in Narnia.
After dinner, we decided to go back home and dye her hair, which us girls did. Now all three of us our hair coloured! Then we went back to the married couple's place and stayed the night there. It was super fun because they have a cat and a dog <3 We had Chinese dessert and sipped on some wine. Did I mention this was my 4th day in a row of drinking? Opps.
This little rascal kept opening my door and climbing into bed with me even though I'd pick him up and throw him out of the room. I soon gave up and he came and curled up beside me.
In the morning, my cousin Andrew made us some spicy udon. I, of course had a coffee and also a beer. Can you tell that I definitely make good adult responsible choices? We ventured off to costco shortly after and then I hopped on the subway and made my way home.
The other day, I went grocery shopping with mom and there happened to be animals inside. I was so surprised but delighted because OMFG ANIMALS ARE MY FAVOURITE. There was a pony!! But needless to say, I was soooo confused as to why there were animals. There didn't seem to be a supervisor around so I didn't know where these animals came from or who they belonged to, but a bunch of kids were petting the animals so I joined in. No shame.
I also went to Garage and bought some clothes and got my first pair of Doctor Martens! I'll do a separate haul post to show them<3
Anyway, that's what I've been up to these days. I've been applying to jobs everywhere and hopefully I hear from some of them soon! For now, here's more pictures.
