"SANTAAAAAA"
Ahhhh, Christmas is only a couple of days away!
Confession time; Christmas is not my favourite holiday, as it is for most people, and I was never really excited about it for most of my life... Until this year! I'm going to be celebrating my first actual Christmas with my boyfriend's family which is really exciting for me. My family never does Christmas and my "celebrations" with my friends are usually just Secret Santa over dinner.
I got my boyfriend's mom for Secret Santa and this is what I got her:
First I got her the David's Tea David's Top 12 set which comes with 12 different loose teas. All the flavours are their most popular ones so I figured this was a safe choice to go with. I was debating over this or the "tea of the month" collection but I think top 12 should be the best of the best, plus I liked the colour of the box... So there's that.
Then I got her a tea infuser to go along with it. I managed to get my hands on this cute "deep tea diver" that looks like a freaking scuba diver!!! It's so cute, isn't it? Admit it. It is. What's even better is that my boyfriend bought her a new Keurig machine so she's pretty much all set in the drinks department this holiday season.
While I was grabbing the tea infuser from Urban Outfitters, I found the Tangle Teazer and had to get it. I've been keeping my eyes on it for a while after hearing about it everywhere and seeing my friend have it. I thought the only place to buy it was online and I didn't have a way to buy online so I kind of just pushed it aside in it mine. As someone who has naturally stick straight hair, I never had a need for a brush or comb until I started bleaching my hair. Now my hair is one big knotty mess, but not after using this baby!

What's awesome about it is that it doesn't pull or tug your hair if it's full of knots. I don't know how it's different from any other hair brushes but it's amazing. And best of all, you can use it on wet hair! After I was my hair and dry it, my hair gets so frizzy because of all the tangles that sets in during the drying process. Now I brush my hair through while it's wet so every strand can set straight. You've got to get this, I don't care who you are. It even brushed out my boyfriend's bread straight.

I just got my friend to help me order Innisfree's Water Glow Cushion. I'm well aware of the cushion trend in Korea but it wasn't until she showed me her cushion that it really got me interested. She said it's such an quick and easy application which is perfect for me when I'm traveling between home and my boyfriend's house. I don't want to bring a huge bottle of foundation or bb cream wth me AND and brush on top of that, so I'm really excited to try this. I forgot what brand she uses but Innisfree's cushion got a lot of hype so I decided to try that, even though apparently their case is a different size from every other cushion, meaning you can't use different brands interchangeably in the same case :( I believe Innisfree is the only odd one out, so you can use your Etude House, IOPE, Hera, etc refills in the same case if you wanted to.
Anyway I'm currently at my boyfriend's waiting for him to wake up for work so I can go home too. I decided not to sleep because he wakes up at 4am to go to work and due to my messed up sleep schedule, there's no way I can fall asleep before 4 and get a decent amount of sleep.
Winter season is here and that means my body is in hibernation mode! I
say that with more seriousness than you'd think. Not only do I sleep
for 80% of the day, but my body has put on a couple more pounds, just
like a bear. I actually went up a size in pants, so that gave me an
excuse to buy some new ones! I absolutely love the jeggings from
Garage, so I got all of mine from there. I also picked up a new sweater
from H&M and a cardigan from Blue Notes. All of these have been a
staple for keeping me warm these past few weeks.
While I was at the mall, I picked up a couple of fun treat items for
myself. My boyfriend saw those fake knee-high graphic tights on a girl
and really wanted me to wear a pair. Hers were the ones with the cats
on them but I saw this Alice in Wonderland pair and just had to get it.
I've worn it out and got compliments!!! They're super fun to wear.
Hot Topic was having a bogo 50% so I picked up a matching Alice in
Wonderland hair bow that's so cute.
Then on a different shopping trip, I went to the Disney store and saw that they had some Lion King plushies back in stock!!! They had a large Simba one and a couple of mini sized ones (Simba, Nala, Timone, and Pumba). The store was having a bogo $1 so I picked up the mini ones because they didn't have a large sized Nala go to along with the Simba :( My Lion King collection is growing and I love it.

Zack and I went to a hockey game to celebrate our forth month together! You'd probably assume that I'm the last person you'd find at a hockey game but I think you'd be surprised to hear that I grew up watching hockey on tv as a kid! I was never extremely into it, but I lived with my cousins and my cousin Jason would always watch hockey, so I would sit and watch with him. I have to say though, watching it live is SO MUCH BETTER! For once, I was actually really into the game. I find it is much easier to follow in person than on tv because there's no fancy camera angle to distract you. If you get the change, definitely go to a live sports event! Oh, and Toronto won this time ;)

I got the change to be my boyfriend's date to his Muay Thai winter gala this year and it was super fun. I love dressing up all fancy and so does he! It was really fun because we both looked really good ;) The food was quite good, although I had to tell the staff about my food allergies and ended up getting different dishes from everyone else. There was a salad, pasta, chicken main course, and dessert. I ate everything up (except for the salad because I don't enjoy grass). It was really nice meeting all the people from his gym even though I'm sooooo socially awkward and stumble on my words a lot.
I ended up drinking with my friend the other night and didn't even sleep a wink, so I was up at the earliest hours. The only good part about that was being able to witness the sunrise and also Mcdonald's breakfast. It's so good. Your day can never go wrong if you have McDonald's breakfast.
Anyway, I'll update about how Christmas went and post pictures of the presents I get! My boyfriend apparently bought a lot of stuff for me and I'm excited to see what he picked out.

2014 Winter Wishlist - Fashion
I talked about my makeup wishlist, and here's my fashion wishlist! There aren't too many items that I want. I really tried to focus on cuts and textures, minus the one Lion King tshirt because I just have to have everything Lion King. My clothing store choices are mostly Garage, H&M, and Forever21 because their sizes seem to fit me the best. What are your favourite stores to shop at?

First Week of School
So it's been a week of school and I want summer to come back already. What's new?
I've been to all of my class at least once by now. Wednesdays are my days off, a.k.a. homework day which is really not much of a day off. It's still nice to have a break in the middle of the week to keep things less stressful. The first day back felt like I never left. It was back to the same boring routine. Watching all the first years was kind of fun though. They were all so confused but excited. I don't think I was ever that excited to go to school, even during my first year. The only positive side to being back is that I know where all my buildings are and I don't have to look at a stupid map anymore. I suck at maps. I really really do.
First day of school.
I bought a new laptop case, pencil case, and pencil for school. Everything is clean and simple, just how I wanted it. They don't really help with motivating me to get off my ass and do work but it makes me feel pretty when I use them.
It's fall, which means pumpkin spice latte is back. Of all the years I've been drinking Starbucks, I've never had one until three days ago. I know. I'm a pretty avid Starbucks drinker, but I've never been drawn to the whole PSL craze. I tried it last weekend for the heck of it. Verdict? It's not as good as everyone makes it sound. Or maybe that's just my taste. It was good, but not oh-my-god-amazingly-great. I prefer the peppermint mocha that comes out during the winter time :) I'm looking forward to that coming back hehe. Oh, and I love how Starbucks are coming out with new cardboard sleeves every so often. I'm liking the design.
I'm supposed to be doing my homework that's due tomorrow but I really can't bring myself to do it. I have most of the ideas in my head, but getting them down on paper is a whole different story. What are some advice on being productive and being motivated to work? I think I struggle with that the most.
Charming is going to come back this weekend and I'm super excited to see him again. It's going to be two weeks since he left which in relationship time, is a long time of being apart :( We text and stuff while he's at school, but it's not the same and never enough especially when he's super busy all day with school and chores. It's going to be nice to have him back for a day or two.
Speaking of the weekend, last weekend I went and bought a new wallet and beanie. The wallet is from Guess and the beanie is from H&M.
I went to the mall knowing I had to get a new wallet but I wasn't sure what I wanted. I basically walked the whole mall to browse and settled on this because my brother liked it too. Originally, I was thinking of getting a tokidoki wallet because I love the brand but after seeing them in real life, I decided they were way too big and bulky. Especially after my last wallet which was huge and stuffed til it exploded, I wanted to stay away from anything that would be too big that might not fit into small purses. This wallet is a little stiff at the moment and I think I just have to "break it in". Getting out some of my cards has proved to be a little difficult but I'm hoping after a while, that will change. This wallet forces me to limit myself in how many cards I carry. If I put too many cards in, I know it won't even shut close. I only carry what I really need, like my debit/credit card, school IDs, bus pass, Starbucks and Sephora card.
The beanie is really nice. It's like the perfect beanie I've been searching for a long time. It has a decent amount of slouch while it's fabric is thick enough to keep my head warm. And it was only about $12 which was pretty good. I've seen ones from Urban Outfitters and they're really pricey! Definitely check out H&M if you're looking for a cheaper alternative.
I went over to my friend Suki's house on Friday night and drank. It was really fun and we just chatted it up over soju and tequila. This is the first time I've tried tequila and it's definitely not one of my top choices. But we all got into a good buzzed state which I needed after complete a week of school. I hope we do it more often, hehe. Friday nights are for good company and alcohol.
I met up with my friend John at school on Monday and he gifted me this cool pen that has coffee beans inside! It smells like coffee too. He said it reminded him of me so he got it for me, haha. How sweet of him. I like using it because it has a decent amount of weight to it. I love heavy pens. Is anyone else the same?
Anyway, with Canada's weather being all whack, I really don't have any idea as to what outfits I should wear this week. Hmmm.

H&M Haul
I did some major retail damage at H&M today and I feel goooooood.
I went with my family to the mall to do some back to school shopping and I took advantage of this time to stock up on some clothes. I spent around $100 and this is what I got :D
Some of these items are similar to the ones in my wish list, and I got the cat dress I wanted! It's super cute on.
The skirt is a faux leather skirt with fake zipper pockets. It's a really nice fit and I really really like it to be honest. I'm not much of a skirt wearer but I have a feeling I'll be wearing this one quite often.
I got a black blouse top with lace shoulders. I've never owned a shirt like this before but I want to start buying more so I can wear them for job interviews or anything professional/dressy.
Two cardigans. The black one is super long and comfortable for lazy days and I liked the wine red colour on the second one. These help me stay warm in the fall/winter months because I get super cold :(
Lastly, the cat dress! It's a perfect length that hits just above my knees so it doesn't cut me off at an awkward length. The material is nice and the print IS SO ADORABLE AHHHHHH! I'm in love with it hehe ^^
That's it :) I also picked up the new September issue of Cosmo so I'll be busy with that for a few hours. I WANT TO BUY MORE STUFF DKJGLDFJSGKLDJS

2013 Summer/Fall Wish List
I was looking through clothes online and I thought I'd share some wish list items that I want for the up coming school year and what not. I don't go shopping for clothes very often, but there are always items that I wish I could have. Currently, I'm trying to focus more on finding warm sweaters that will keep me warm during the winter time and also nice blouses for days I want to dress up and seem less casual.
You can kind of see that I'm not much on colour. I try to get colourful pieces here and there but it's been a bad habit of mind to stick towards blacks and whites. Garage is one of my favourite places to shop because they carry my style and most importantly
my size. I'm very tiny and their clothes are made especially for tinier girls like me.
This year, I also want to look for more leg warmers and warm pants because I cannot stand the cold winter months. I wish there was a way to stay warm and look fashionable. It's quite hard for me because I get abnormally colder than the average person, which means I have to pile on the layers even when others don't have to. It sucks.
What kind of style do you have? If you had more money, what kind of clothes would you buy?
