Skin Food Coffee Creamy Sheer Lipstick (PP701 Plum Wine) Review
Tuesday, 18 February 2014 | 0 comments
Hi, cuties!  I'm back with the second last item of my Korea Haul to review.  I'm not sure why I keep leaving my favourite products last, because this is one of the items I adore a lot.  It's the Skin Food Coffee Creamy Sheer lipstick in Plum Wine!

Ever since I first tried a darker lip colour, I fell in love, so I specifically asked for this dark wine colour to give a try.  Plus, it's part of their Coffee line, and who doesn't love that?

The packaging is a dark ashy brown colour that's sleek and small.  It's quite small for a lipstick as it's only a little taller than my thumb.  (That would be roughly around three inches).  But don't fret, because the actual lipstick bullet inside is pretty much the same size as every other lipstick bullet.

The colour is a wine red, I would say.  Even though the name is Plum Wine, I think it leans more towards red than plum.  The colour when applied on the lips is very similar to Revlon's Just Bitten lip stain in Crush, however Crush is more of a purple-plum while, like I said, this is more of a red.  They're really quite similar and I could apply both on my lips and there wouldn't be a very noticeable difference.

The name of this product says it's a sheer lipstick, but this colour is definitely not sheer at all.  It's very pigmented and leaves a semi-glossy/satin finish.  It also has a fruity orange creamsicle scent which I LOVE because it's so yummy.  I'm sorry if you're one of those people who cannot stand scents, but this scent is to die for.  I like how it doesn't have that old lady scent that most lipsticks have.

After having this on my lips for a while, I would say that the lasting power is around 3-4 hours.  I don't really have much problem with lipsticks fading on me really fast, so that could also be part of the reason it lasts quite long on my lips.  It does leave a slight stain, as do most darker lip colours do.

I would say because this isn't a matte lipstick, it does keep your lips hydrated.  Because I have severely dry lips, I'm always weary about lip products, but this one seems to give me the least trouble in terms of hydration.

Rating: ★★★★☆  4/5

I adore this lipstick!  I love the colour, packaging, and scent.  This is a perfect fall colour that almost anyone can pull off.  Try it yourself if you ever come across it.
