Merry Christmas

Hello everyone,

It's three hours into Christmas day and I'm sitting in bed enjoying some Youtube videos.  I don't celebrate Christmas so I'm not as excited as everyone else is.  I've got no Christmas tree, no presents, no decorations or lights; Christmas just doesn't happen in my house.  I guess it's a little sad because everyone is so happy around this time of year but to me, it's just like every other day.  Regardless, I hope everyone else is having a very Merry Christmas and spending it with all their family and friends.

Nothing interesting has really happened for the past couple of weeks because I haven't been going out, but for the past 2-3 days, Toronto has been hit with a storm that covered the entire city in ice and there was a black out for at least 2 days.  This happened since Saturday night and some people today still don't have power.  Luckily, area didn't lose our power, but the rest of the city was completely blacked out.  Charming didn't get his power back until mid-day yesterday which sucks because we couldn't go out and see each other due to the fallen trees and icy roads outside, but also we couldn't call or text because his phone ran out of batteries and there was no power to charge it.  I missed him a lot for those couple of days :(

The night of the blackout, we were actually at my cousin's condo for his early birthday party.  I really enjoyed it and they had a make-shift photobooth so we all took lots of pictures.  The food was awesome; he's a great cook, and we drank a lot and played games.  The majority of the crowed were mid 20-30 and we were the youngest, alongside my younger brother who's 16.  However, we all got along with everyone and had a great time.  I had so much fun that I forgot to take any pictures of Instagam :(  Good thing we had the photobooth!  I really wish I had taken a picture of the food that was on my plate because it was A LOT.



Last week, I went out to eat brunch with my brother because I was so sick of being at home all day.  We went to Cora's, which is a really good breakfast & lunch place that I really like to go to.  My brother had only experienced eating brunch out at a restaurant one other time, so he was really excited.  He was really surprised at the amount of food you get.  We both got the same thing, which consisted of: 3 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, 3 breakfast sausages, a side of potato wedges, and a few fruits.


Afterwards, we went to the mall and I picked up The Lion King shirt from Forever21!  My friend showed it to me via Snapchat a couple of days prior and I knew I had to get it.  I'm really happy with my purchase, although the same friend mentioned he was planning to get it for me as a present.  Too bad I got to it first, haha.
